I’d hoped that this would re-establish my relationship with narrative, text-based games on PC while also allowing me to better appreciate in-world text documents of the kind we see in Control or Cyberpunk 2077.įictional books, diaries, emails, terminals, and so on, all have the capacity to make a world feel much more lived in, demonstrating the ways that its fictional people document their own world around them.
